ZARAGOZA CITY
The city of Zaragoza is the capital of Aragon and the province of Zaragoza. It´s the fifth largest spanish city in population with 666,129 inhabitants and the fourth in economic activity.
Its current name comes from the ancient Roman toponym, Caesaraugusta name was given in honor of Emperor Augustus in 14 BC C., and came to our days through the Arabic Saraqusta. Located on the banks of the river Ebro, Gallego and Huerva and the Imperial Canal of Aragon, in the center of a wide valley.
Its privileged geographical situation about 300 km from Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Bilbao and Toulouse, makes it an strategic location.
The city holds the titles of Most Noble, Very Loyal, very heroic, very beneficial, always heroic and Immortal, mostly cast their resistance after Napoleon's army in the sieges of Zaragoza during the War of Independence. All these titles are reflected in his shield, using the initials of each of them.
Celebrates festival in honor of the Virgen del Pilar on Oct. 12. The pattern of the city is San Valero (29 January).
Between 14 June and 14 September 2008, the year the bicentenary of the Sites of Zaragoza and the centennial of the Hispano-French Exposition of 1908, Zaragoza hosted the Expo Zaragoza 2008 International Exhibition dedicated to water and sustainable development.

HOW TO GET TO ZARAGOZA?
The province of Zaragoza has an airport recently expanded, located 9 km from the center of the capital that connects to several Spanish cities, scheduled flights to European cities like Paris or Frankfurt.
As for the rail link, given the geographical situation of Zaragoza, the city has formed a vital link in the mainland rail network. The Zaragoza-Delicias Station is one that most activity concentrated in the country and provides access to virtually anywhere on the Peninsula.
With respect to communications by road, enjoys an excellent infrastructure and to Zaragoza is a strength of the network relying on a Highway to Bilbao and Barcelona, with the Highway of Aragon, which links it to Madrid. In the future, Somport-Sagunto highway to join Valencia and the French network by the Aragonese Pyrenees.
